| About Me: | Growing up in Beaverton Oregon, bicycles were just a daily part of life. I've been pedaling now for about 36 years and just want to tell everyone reading this that you never have to stop doing what you love just because someone else believes that age dictates behavior. |

Bottom line - Inverted forks are a more efficient design for suspension, period. The Dorados downfall is that they have Manitou internals, and carbon is a terrible media for forks..you're going go hit them on stuff. The White Bros and Bombshell versions I saw with lots of leak issues. Foes continued to over-engineer their version and it was too expensive. Marzocchi hit the nail on the head with the Shivers but the market shifted after 2003 and people began to focus on DH weight loss instead of building motorless 125cc dirtbikes.
Marzocchi outsourced their quality away. I'm super happy to see Fox pick up the baton and run with this idea! Now if we could only convice them that you don't have to price-gouge your customers who are willing to pay for a good product.
With fingers crossed and wallet cramping, I look forward to this future with a nervous smile...
Something that I've suspected over the years, and now it's confirmed...Mountian biking promotes fuller, thicker hair!
Welcome Richard, and your intelligent views and opinions. Viva La Old Guys!!
If this news is actually true, then it doesn't sound like even RaceFace saw this coming. They JUST signed riders into multi-year contracts including Aaron Chase. If the earthquake theory is correct, then it is a really sad day for such a seemingly solid Canadian company with such a large product base to have to instantly fold after they lose everything due to the destruction of all their eggs being placed in an outsourced basket.
All through my quiver of bikes you'll find cranks, bottom brackets, bars, stems, armor...ranging from 1999 to the present. Nothing breaks.
I broke my '07 66RC2 1.5 as the steertube became separated from the crown. Marzocchi upgraded me to a '10 66RC3 1.5, and now my steertube is starting to make the same creaking noize. That is separate from the internal 'click halfway through compression that I got from both forks. Marzocchi tells me that the internal noize is "normal" for a 66. I think that's a load of crap!
Congratulations to all the Canadians who win all the Pinkbike givaways...(says the sore loser)...
Stop the Lopes bashing, the so called "incident" last year never happened. I'm sure that he'll be there, and that he'll be adequately timed. The truth always comes out in the end. We'll see you there Tara.
Everyone is over-reacting I think. I was standing right there in the room, and Brian was bending down talking close with Tara so that they could hear each other. They exchanged some words and Brian was obviously not happy but there was NO SCENE created that I saw. Brian came back out to the crowd, and stood on the podium for the photo when he was called.
